Project Overview
El Kharashy Contracting & Trading was honored to support Egypt Air’s in-flight catering division with the complete renovation of its food production and packaging zones located within the secure perimeter of Cairo International Airport. The objective was to create a high-efficiency, contamination-resistant workspace built to withstand the demands of high-volume meal preparation while meeting international food safety and aviation standards.
Our Scope of Work
- Walls’ Renovation of Critical Food Zones with over 3,000 m² of Saniclad PVC Walls
- Overhaul of food production and packaging zones with a focus on durability and hygiene
- Executed with zero interference to ongoing operations within the airport, thanks to our clean work technique during the installation process
- Advanced Hygienic Finishes
- Installed Saniclad antimicrobial PVC wall cladding for optimal microbial resistance, durability against any cracks that acts as a zone for bacterial growth and chemical resistance against chemicals used for sterilization in food areas.
- System Integration for Food Safety
- Seamless relations between walls, walls and ceilings, walls and floors to inhibit bacterial growth
- Selected materials for installation engineered to resist chemical exposure, humidity, and heavy-duty use
